A DRAINAGE QUESTIÓN.

The further reports of the M.O II, and the Eanitary Surveyor with reference to the drainage of houses on LI. 15659, stated:-The drainage system is at present inefficient for these reasons: 1. (a) The storm water from tho kilisido and lano is led into the disconnect ing trap at the end of the sewer provided to carry off the sallage water from these hrases (b) Somewhat more than dulf of the rain water falling in this lot is also carried away by the Bower, which is six inches in diameter: (s) This six inch sewor, baing laid at a fall of one

(3) If paper, rugs, ate., be thrown into the surface channel, the prosent six inch trap will fail

to carry of water as rapidly as it is capable of doing. A cortain amount of paper, etc, must be expected to find its way into the chaunel, austif nuisance resurs when (a) and (b) 'beforementioned are carried out, we think that the owners of the property should be asked to Julve the work of the trap by providing another ooo, and so draining each half of the block of houses by a trap of its own.
