OTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Light on Batton Rook was exhibited for the first time at sunset on the 14th November, The illuminating apparatus is diuptrie occulting of the sixtli order showing a fixed white light raried by single eclipses every 15 seconds, thus: 12 Seconds Light.

The light tower is situated on the eastern end of the rock and the light, which is elevated 67 feas abore the lavel of the sex, should be visible in clear weather at a distance of 10 nautical miles.
The tower is round, of concrete, 26 feet high with a total height from base to top of lantern of 32 feet and is painted Black.
