OTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that about the beginning of October next, the present Kinton Lightship will be replaced by a Gas-bghted Lightvessel.

The now Lightship will be of steel, 70 fact long and 21 fest boam, painted red with the word "Kintoan on her sides in white lettare..

The light will be exhibited from a lantern carried by an iron column, and will be Dioptric, Group Occulting, of the Fourth Order, showing a fixed white light varied by two eclipses every 20 seconde aa follows:-

The centre of the Light will be 30 fost above the water, and the Light should be visible in clear weather at a distance of 11 nautical miles. During foggy or thick weather a 10-owt fog ball will be struck & double blows in each minute, -the interval between the blows of each pair being seconds, and between two successive pairs of blows 15 seconds.

If the Lightship be driven from her proper station, the usual light will not be shown, but a fized red light will be exhibited at each end of the vessel during the night and & rod flag hoisted by day.

From the 1st of September, until this change it mode the fogsignal on the present Kiutoan Lightressel will consist of a Gong sounded overy la seconds.
