The inclemency of the wasther doubtless provented a large attendance of spectators, though a few Indian wore placky Buongh to brave the elements. The following are the full scores and analyses —

Christanas time. This Christmas was Do excoption. In the evening à largo reception was held in the mouager's house, or bungalow, to which all the employees on the concession were. invited. The rooms resembled some Enstern palace, modernised by the aid of coloured elec trio lights, buating and foliage. The Macassar Brass Band, consisting of 37 performers, was in attendance and discoursed dreamy waltzes or sprighly mazourkas, at intervals, while the guests, many of whom were accompanied by their wives, took advantage of the music and were soon engaged in the many evolutions of the dance. An event of the evening was the exquisite rendering of List's Rhapsodia Hengroise," on the piano by Mr. W. G. Brock, the postmaster here. Nor was vocal harmony wanting; songs being ably rendered by Mrs Laver. Mr. Tyler, Mr. Burton, Mr. Blake, and Mr. Chittonden. After supper, which was served in a most recherché style, a company of natives gave a juggling performance, which I have seldom seem excelled oven in the balls at home. After three hearly chees for the manager. the company dispersed, the band playing "God Save the King" in its ama!

imitable style.
