The Empress of Chine, with the Canadian Mail, lett Shanghai on Sunday, the 21st inst., at 1.30 pm, and may be expected how today. The American Mail, ex Hongkong Maru, was teupsferred to this time at Nugasaki.

The Princess Irene, with the Gemona Mail of the 26th ult., luft Singapore on Friday, the 10th insi, at 2 pm, and may be expected here to-day.

During the Christams Holidays, the Post Office will be open during the honra stated below:- On Thursday, the 25th inst, from A to 9am.

On Friday, the 26th it., om 8 to 9am. only. Correspondence for Local delivery on those days may be posted up to Dam. The Night Box will be left open during the time the oleo is closed.

The Money Ortler Office will be entirely closed on both days.
