ROBBERY FROM THE FERSON. Chan Chan and Tsoi Su were charged with robbing from the person of Wong Yi Wan, a Bchoolboy, a silver watch and a gold ring.

Second defendant hold him by the quane and took a ring from. Jis anger, and a sliver watch and cord chain from his pocket, after complainant had been rabbed he again found his companions, and then went to the police station to lay an information. fusperter Hanson stated that first defendant pointed out the pawnshop where the articles were pawned, but they had torn up the pawn ficket. The watch was recovered, but not the ring.

The Station interpreter gave evidence as to the statement made by defendants in the 4th inst.

First defendunt denied stamling the watch, and said second defendast asked him to get the watch and ring from the ind. Hu refused to do so, as he knew defendant a long time. Becond defendant stole the articles. The watch he gare to another man to pawn, and melted down the gold ring.

Second defendant claimed that he was asked by first defendant and another man to follow them next time they went for a walk with complainant, and snatch the watch and ring. Ho did so. He gave the ring to the other man and the watch to first defendant, who pawned it. He received 84.70 himself out of the whole
