The championships of the Amotour Athletic Association. the leading organisation of its kiud, werò decided at Huddersfield on Saturday, and resulted as everybody exported in several American victories, and in some now champions being placed cu the roll of famo. Some fifteen or eighteen months ago there was a motion introduced to the parent body with the object of restricting the right of entry to British subjects, or to those born in the United King dom of Great Britain and Ireland, but I am delighted to say that such a proposition was negatived and that our championship meeting is open to the world, provided the competitors

To-day (Saturday) the race for the 100 yards swimming championship of Great Britain will
