It has been a long time since any outsider has been present at the Queen's Christmas dinner, and the family laughs and jokes and cuts looss to its heart's content. They say that the Queen is a capital hand at talling stories and that on such domestic occasions is seen at her best. It has been remarked, too, that of late years she has become more approachable to the children.
