DANGEROUS' SHOAL TO EASTWARD OF THE GREAT YANGTZE BANK. N°C

Geminore TOTICE is horoby given that Captain W. that this vessel, when in latitudo 2 10 Nerth and longitude 125- 16' East (approximate), and drawing 20 feet, struck something, causing her to heel slightly.

As this position is practically the same na that in which the 8.8. Sotra drawing 20 fort, experienced a severo shock in June last, and is in the neighbourhood in which the 3.3. Shong hai obtained soundings of fathoms in 1896, it appears certain that a ahoal, with 20 feet of water or loss over it, exists in this locality.

-British Admiralty Chart No. 242 (largo corrections October 1897) -hows 23 fathomis near the above position.
