At a meeting of the Grand Army of the Re- public, tonight, General Tyler prtaining, the decoration of the graves of Confederates on Memorial Day was brought up, and the following resolution, proposed by General Felix, wes adopted:

That while the Grand Army of the Repablic accords to all its bamburs the sacred right of their opinions, yet, ne an organization, it caznot be a party to anything political or tending thereto; had under its rules and regulations, an menibers, we osznot, as a body, decorate the graves of buy older bat Union and, en Mono- rial Day. The Saratoga, a large grain steamship, which was to be launched at Roaoh's skipyard, started from ite blocking sooner than was expected. About forty men were under the Baratoga when she went off.

come sway, but was not heard. Seven men woDa killed. The bodies are horribly mingled, one being literally cut in halves and the others with their legs and ama torn off. The shipyard is thranged with friends and relatives of the victims.
