A benvythmdactor broke over Huddersfield and neighborhool about five culock on Wad- esday morning, accompained with very vivid lightning and heavy rain. The lightning strack, a house about a une from the town, occupied by a man téd Gibson, who was in bed with his wife, rendering the latter insensible for several minutes. It then melted the gas-pipe, and set the house on fire, bat little damage was done. Shortly before six c'clock a violent thauderstorm, accompanied by rain, burst over Leeds. The lightning struck the house of Dr. Shackleton, corn factor, and the housemaid, Ann Naylor, was killed. Mr. T. Buck,à retired Bradford wushiet, was also struck and killed. At Bradford a woman was struck, but no lives were lost.
