Bir Josepa Whitworth, the well-known inven- tor and manufacturer of rifled artillery, was. defendant in snit in the Court of Queen's Bepob, brought by a French aoer named Dury, to recover compensation for his services in the sake of a large number of rifled guns to the French Government after the overthrow of the Empire.
