THE HOOLEY SCANDAL
Loudon, 27th July:
Mr. Ernest T. Hooley at the public examins- tion in the Bankraptor Court, attributed his fuilare chiefly to his partner, a man named Bucker, crippling the business by drawing out £500,000 within two months.
In detailing the flotation of the Dunlop Tyre Company. Mr. Hooley said that the names on the Directorate cost from £80,000 to £100,000, izoleding Lord Abermaerla, E15,500 and Lord Delawarr, £25,900. In connection with this flatation, Mr. Hooley also said that ho lost £63,000 on pres calls, these belog *shares intended for people connected with newspaper," whose names baye not lovu divulged thus far, though it is expected that they will be made publie în duo course of time.
