In obedience to my Instructions, I have the honor to report that after a careful examination of the Accounts of the Land Office, for the Year ending 31 March 1845, I have found every reason for Your Excellency to be satisfied with what has been done by that Department in se, in a financial point of view — that on Your Excellency's arrival on the 7th May 1844, there was due upon it.
