In the absence of any precise
inshuctions,
any information, as to the practice of other Colonies, I have felt considerable difficulty in ascertaining what duties the Attorney General ought
to perform for the salary he receives, and in what cases he is entitled to some
further remuneration.
I have already submitted to Your Lordship the question of allowing that Officer fees on Crown prosecutions in my despatch No : 56, of the 22th October,
