Lordship, that, with the concurrence

of absence to Lieutenant Pedder for

year, to date from the 10th Instant, to proceed to England

on sick certificate,

for the recovery of his health

That Officer, after serving

on board

the Nemesis, Steamer, was

appointed

to

carry

out

the duties of Harbour Master

in the

colony. He has served since the year 1841,

and Marine Magistrate since which period he has not quitted

the

colony. He has suffered severely for a year

past from the effects of exposure and his
