The bye-wash channel will be constructed on solid ground and discharge into the valley below the dam. The outlet commencing in a suitable valve well will be carried through the main dam and dis- oburge into the stress below it. Estimated -cost $140,000.

Proposed Reservoir on Sits No. 3.-The pre-AHE following Particnars and Condibus posed roservoir ou site No. 3 situated immoli- ately below the present waste weir of the T. tam reservoir would be formed by the econtra tion of two masonry and concrete dams. This reservoir, which would pretically form an ex- tension of the 'erìsting Tajtam rosorvoir, would have a capacity of 20 million gallons with a tort water level of 498 feet ahora Ordnance Datum, muda mariam depth of 27 feet. The waste water would discharge evor the top of the prin opal dam, which has a length o£150 font. It is, anticipated, that the depth of water over the weir will not exceed 4 feet. The outlet com momeing in a suitable valve well will be carried through-the easterly dan and discharge into the existing gauge basin at the entranoo_to the Taita Tunnel. The construction of thats reservoir will involve a diversion of the road to Taitam Tük, the building of a new residence for the caretaker, and a new Police Station.. Estimated cost $10,000.
