There has been deposited in the Treasurer's Chest on 26th February 1845 by the Revd. Gutzlaff £284 for which credit was given him 18th July last on the Settlement of his Superannuation Account, which is to be added to the cash balance for which the Treasurer will be held responsible on 31st March 1865.

In pursuance of the instructions of the Lords Commissioners of Her Majesty's Treasury, I have caused Surveys to be taken on the 12th January 1845 of the Funds remaining on the commencement of that day in the custody of the Colonial Treasurer, and of the Officers in charge of the Strong Vault respectively; and having carefully inspected the Report of the Officers appointed by me to that duty, I hereby certify that I have found the results to be in strict accordance with the statement of the Balances as they are shown in this Return.
