I beg leave to refer Your Excellency to
the Memorandum which I had the honor of submitting to your consideration and to the despatch which you addressed to Lord Stanley on 10th August (XCR(20)49) forwarding that Memorandum to His Lordship, and as the time has arrived which Your Excellency fixed as one of the periods of the year when you
would take
any proposed alterations in the several Government Establishments into consideration, I now beg leave to report that I have been compelled to avail myself of the services of Mr Cready, as Auditor's Clerk ever since the first day of October last, at Salary of $100 per month, of which I pray that Your Excellency will approve.
