arms and ammunition
required for the protection of the Lorcha
attached to his Establishment and to
request you to furnish such of them as you are able, for
which
you
will be
pleased to obtain Mr. Rickett's receipt and send a copy of it, together with the Original Indent to this Office
The Lorcha is now
lying in this
harbour, and the Master of her is ready
to receive the arms.

Original letter which has been addressed
to our Resident by
the mercantile Firm
of Jamieson & How
praying that one of Her Majesty's Ships of War may be
allowed to anchor in the western part of the Harbour for the protection of that quarter of the Colony, and we shall be obliged by your giving the prayer your favorable consideration - so far as the Service will admit - until a regular and sufficiently strong organized
