I beg to reply to your letter No:3 of the

6th Instant. I am directed to

convey to you the sanction of the Governor for the sum of six dollars ($6) a month being paid

as wages of one Cooly, who His Excellency considers will be perfectly able to perform the duties of both Porter and Office Coolie.

and to give an Estimate of the Expense

at which it may be repaired so as to

render it fit for its present purpose for a
