I have the honor to inform Your Lordship, in reply to your letter of the 18th inst., that I have directed the Land Officer to place himself in communication with the Acting Assistant Quarter Master General for the purpose of marking off the boundaries of the Cantonments on the Northern side of the Island.
With regard to the Cantonment at "West Point Barracks" I need only here say, that any quantity of Sand, that may be required there Major General
