You are directed by His Excellency Sir Henry Pottinger Bart to communicate to you that it is His Excellency's wish that you should without procrastinating on any pretence, on the Island of Hongkong, publish a Regulation for the cutting down of Trees, and that you should by Fines and other punishment rigidly enforce the Regulation, as soon as it is gazetted.
