In continuation of the subject of my letter No. 149 of the 5th Instant, I have the honor to state to Your Lordship, that I consider it most desirable to have the Survey of this Island completed with as little delay as possible.

I have understood that Captain De Saulles and Lieutenant Forrester of Her Majesty's 55th Regiment, and Major General, The Lord Saltoun K.C.B., H.B.M. Major General Commanding in China, &c. &c. &c.
