Hong Kong, 13th February 1843.
I have the honor to acquaint Your Excellency, that I now despatch Captain Onslow, the Executive Engineer of this Colony to Manila for the purpose of making arrangements for procuring some Timber required, for the use of the British Government, and I shall feel highly obliged by any countenance Your Excellency may be pleased to direct the Officers of Your Government to afford Captain Onslow in the execution of this duty.
