I am directed by His Excellency Sir Henry Pottinger to inform you that the Market House erected by Captain Macgowan being erected near the Cantonment, will as soon as it is completed be handed over to the charge of Major Malcolm.
His Excellency does not approve of any private individuals holding market places at present.
