stands on precisely the same footing as the class of Civil servants called... "Uncovenanted" in India with whom the salaries cease as soon as the incumbents leave their Stations. The only functionaries attached to any of the Departments in the Island who would be entitled to a portion of their emoluments on going away would be those Gentlemen who are paid by Bills on England &c.
