Gentlemen,
Hongkong, 23rd May, 1842.
With reference to the proposal from you, that has been before His Excellency Sir Henry Pottinger, to furnish to the Head of this Government a certain number of Copies of your Paper, and to execute the printing of such documents or forms as may from time to time be sent to you from this office, in consideration of the monthly payment of $50, or a total sum of $600 annually, I am now instructed to communicate to you His Excellency's acceptance of that proposal.
