In reply to your letter of the 20th instant,
I have the honor to assure you entirely
concur in the general sentiment with which you have conveyed to me regarding a
church on this Island, and that I have already directed the most eligible location that offers for the site of a place of worship, to be selected and set apart, with a view to the erection of one.
I think, however, that it is advisable to defer the Building or incurring any expense about it until I shall be honored with
