No 231
124
Sir,
Government House, Hong Kong,
27th March, 1842.
I am directed by His Excellency Sir Henry Pottinger to inform you,
that you may point out to Mr. Stewart a piece of ground near the Government House, where
he may build a house for himself, but it is to be perfectly understood, that he is to give over the house to Government,
on quitting their Service, Government of course paying him a fair value for it.
I have to be,
Captain Mylius.
Your,
(Signed) G. A. Malcolm,
Secretary of Legation.
