I beg to acknowledge the receipt of your letter of the 16th Instant, and beg to inform

that His Excellency has no objection to your obtaining the piece of ground you mention for a Patent Slip, provided it does not interfere with any previous arrangement made by the Sand Officer to whom you must apply. His Excellency desires me

to mention that he some time ago sanctioned a piece of Ground being given to Mr. Burn for

the erection of a Patent Slip, which
