The perusing day, in which I transmitted for your perusal several communications, and despatched a Force to M. Schiston, in the vicinity of the Hillary Buildings, Pott's to inspect the progress at Kaifong I have stated my opinion that the case of Kowloon Peninsula is hardly worth consideration either in a Political or Military light.
I do not think there is the smallest chance of the Chinese attempting to molest us at that point - the question therefore dims to be simply rest as to whether our troops should be Lassted on the Kowloon Peninsula.
