TION ORDINANCE 1980.- The Acıma ATTORNEY-GRJERAI—I have to move, sir, the second reading of this Bill, the object of which may bà stated very abortly. In 18an Ordinance was passed empowering the Go vermout to appoint Commissioners to revile and re-edit the Ordinances, and under that Volume 1 of the Ordinances has special authority. In 1896 an Ordinance was passed giving authority for the publications of the Ordinances made by the Law Revision Cenimission'and that Ordinance re,cal-; jed Ordiannos 7 of 188+ sail therefore did äng) with the the special authority of the first volume of the Ordinances. The Ordinance of 1866 went house and was confirmed, but the Secretary of State in conveging Her Majesty's gracious GON firmation of the Ordinance called attention to the fast that the spacial anthority given to the first Tolome of the Ordinances had been done GWAY with by the repeal of Ordiaanse 7 of 1864. Early in this year a short Ordinance was passed to practically reviva Ordinanco 7 of 1864, but unfortunately that Ordinauso did not have the desired effect. It is therefore necessary now to revive Ordinance 7 of 3864, giving special |anthority to the first volume of the Ordinaners Gatil the new edition of Ordinances can be com pleted. This is the object of this Bill.
The COLONIAL SECRETARY &conded. Bill read a second time.
