Diligent and faithful and in justice W = Williams I wish to bear testimony both.. to his ability as a clerk and a purser, that he took in hand my Pursers and Captains Accounts left nearly two years from the negligence of my former Clerk in the most Confused state and brought them up and lodged them in office in the most Correct style. From these Circumstances blended with the testimony borne by his former Commanding Officer. I must respectfully beg leave to recommend him to their Lordships, most perfectly qualified and highly deserving of Promotion.
