We have very great satisfaction in adding our testimony of your abilities and diligence to the numerous you have already received from those who have had during the experience which you have had during your engagement with us in several of the most important branches of surveying and from the ability which you have displayed in the discharge of the various duties imposed upon you during your connection with us, we have every reason to expect that success will attend your enterprising endeavour to secure to yourself a wider field for your exertions than at present offers in this Country,
We beg to be allowed to express our cordial good wishes for your success and hope that the day is not far distant when you will have reason to congratulate yourself on the spirited step which you are about to take; should you at any time have occasion for a further reference we shall always feel much pleasure in affording you any assistance in our power.
