NEW YORK, J6th December. The impression among yachting men soms fo bo gaining groïus that the next internationál race in this country will bo belwogn steamors, and for an international prize offered by the Ame rican Yacht Cină, vàlued at $10,300. For the past three or four years it has been a matter of chagrin to the British owners of steam Jachts that their vessels are inferior in point of speed, as well as in splendor and the convenience of equipment, to American yachts; even the Namora, Bonnett's yacht, although not at all speedy, fodged from an American standpoint, having been alde to steam around any vessel of the Royal Yacht Club. The prize of the American Yacht Club of $10,000 was offered two years ago for competition by the steam gaghts of the world, and as yet awaits challengers. It is current rumour that Commo- dora Click of the Royal Clyde Yault Clab, who was here in the Mohican last summer during the Kalwadzor Thielle moes, and whe-disposed-of-that-j vesvol while here, intemils to build a steam yacht- of the largest size and with especial reference to speed, and if she proves a success will next season challenge for the eup of the American Club, la that evan her canipotitor would be Gould's Atlanta.
