BOMBAY, 7th July. The London correspondent of the Bombay. Gazette, telegraphing last night, saya :-Mata- reja Hollar strongly resents the manner in which he has been treated ii ovoasction with the Jubilee celebration and has in consequence abruptly left England. Indignant at the treat- monf he had received, His Highness did not attend the ceremony of laying the fonnlation stone of the Imperial Inglê inte. The official explanation" of his ab seace is that he was seriously indisposed, but I hear, cn good authority, that the real reason ix his dissatisfaction with the manner in which hebt been treated by officials, who have not paid him that amount of deference which he con- siders to bo kis due as one of the leading Indian Potentates. I also hear that other Indian prinses consider that they have been slighted throughout the Jabileo, "an Indian prince" they M declara "is not a British feudatory and the Ecg-aghout. lish do not know how to win our hearts,"

this Work stands unrivalled. All the newTHE Company's Steamship words which the Chinese havo of late geure boon compelled to coin to exprosa the numerous ob jects in machinery, photography, telegraphy, and in soiance generally, which the rapid advance of foreign relations has imposed upon them, aro hare given in extenso. Each and every word is fally illustrated and explained, forming exercises for students of a most instinctive nature. Both the Court Punt pronunciations are, giros: the accents being carefully marked on the best principle hitherto attained. The typography displays the ancoss of an attempt to make the Chiness and English type correspond in the size of body, thereby affisting a vart ogonomy of space, achieving a clearness not previously attained, and dispensing with these vast margins and vacant spaces which have heretofore oluario. terized Chinese publications.
