· The British steamer Portigers, from Saigon 20th February, reports had strong N.E. winds and high lead sea to Cape Padaran; from thence moderate and light mesterly winds and fine wen- ther with fog to port. On the 23rd February spoke the str. "Deepaule, in Isl. 17.30, Jong. 110.54, bound Bouth.
The British steamer Vingehow, from London 8th January, and Singapore 18th February, re ports had heary gales in Mediterranean, arrived in Singapore on the afternoon of the 16th Feb. and loft on the evening of the 18th, came up China Sea on the western edge of the shoalé, Experienced a frosh N.E. monsoon until serival at Hongkong.
