A little more than two years ago, a beautiful! young lady in New York was given ap to dis of consumption. Her fond parents took her to Paris as a last resort, hoping to find some sküfel physician there capable of arresting the rapid strides of the supposed dreadful disease. In this their hopas wars blighted, but fortunately away in that distant foreign city they met with a dee cription of a new method of treating Dyspepsis, which ouaisuated from the Mount Labas Shakers of the State of New York. The thenght strack the parents of this helplaas yanng girl that perhaps their daughter was aflicted with Indigestion or Dyspenia, and noi com- samption; and if so, thers might be a chance for hur recovery.
Some of the Reigel's Curative Syrup, made and administered to the patient, and the result was marvellous. Te-day their daughter lives in the enjoyment of good health. The fact was, the patient had been treated for the wrong com- plaint, and when she was treated for Dyspepsia (her real trouble), all the alarming symptoms of consumption vanished. This is not an isolated ease. The country is full of suffering thousands THE that are being trented for Livor Complaint, Malaria, Kidney Disease, Lang Disorders, .,
gestion in soins of ita variód forms, and all of such sufferers would obtain relief is they wers properly treated for Dyspepsia.

The defendant gain the le was got ap ca account of a lady who stayed for some time at the Hongkong. Fotel and thea had to leave for Saigon. She was travelling with a stock of jewellery to diapose of and was disappointed that! she had 201 succeeded in selling any of it here. A gentleman suggested that she should laure some of the things to be rated for, and he drew up the heading for the raffle paper. Witness took it to the printers, and paid 75 cents for the printing, and then he asked Mr. Campbell to get Bares (New) 552) to 5533 subscriptions, but on Mr. Campbell's saying he bai not time, he arranged with the plaintiff, who way to have five chases in the rama for his trouble. The watch was won by Mr. Joseph. When plaintif case to witness at the hotel ahont the value of the watch witness said I en raffe it for 200; I will give 880 Ser " M. Joseph had notpaid for hiachance, and writàessunid the watch was worth more than 35 to say one. Witacas kept the watch, because it was the pro- perty of the lady ho had mentioned, and he could not part with it unless he got the money. He complained of the neglect of the plaintif in oal- leoting the subscriptions, and clabad that he was entitled to receive the 230 which had actually been collected. He also argued that rules person who took a chance in araile paid for his chance he could not take the prize oven if he won it, and Mr. Josoph had not paid. In the couTSH of orces examination it transpired that the do- fondant had won three of the four prizos, one account of himself and two on account of the lady, who had taken up all the chances left un- filler. He denied, however, that there was any. thing unfair lu the basinees, the result being decided by throwing dica in basin. A to Mr. Donaldson's evidence, witness skil the conversation between himself and the plaintiff was conducted in French, which innguage Mr. Donaldson did not understand. He denied that he was the getter up of the radle, and said he was only sa aveat in placing the matter in the plaintiff's lauds and getting the printing dono.
His Lordship said he did not think the sale had been inver. The bartar of proof lay on the plaintiff, nud he had not established his case. Mr. Ewus applied for the return of the watub.
