ENGLAND, FRANCE, AND BURMAH.
The Penang Gasdio says-The latest news from Burtnah is, that storos, military and naval, are being lanted hourly, and from expressions dropped by the Chief Commissioner it is conti dered certain that active measures will be taken to bring King Thebaw to terms and to put a stop to his tronfy-bronking proclivities and in- trigues with the French.
From the Strada Times we take the follow- ing: A few wooks ago the Mandalay corres- pondents of the Rangoon papers, made merry ever the hot that the new French Ambassador thero, M.
