I transmit you herewith the Copy of a letter addressed to this Department from the Directors of the London Committee of the Калиу hearing requesting that you will cause the arrears of Income Tax due on the several Salaries of those Officers appointed within the Civil Establishment at Hong Kong to be paid into the Military Chest, and to take care that the sums payable hereafter on that account may be accounted for in the same manner.
