Owing to stress of weather had to anchor in Amo 21 hours, and at Bias Bay 20 hours.
The American ship C Sargent reports had light winds from Cardid to Cape of Good Hopes heavy gales from Capa to 500 miles East of St. Paul's Island; stove forward house and carried away tgpsail yard; light winds from Et. Paul to Java Dead, passed Angust 19th: thegoe faroUK: able winda to anamta Irlanda, passed 25th, Fram thenos light bailing winde, squally, and only to within 180 miles of port 7th September; from thencostrong NNE winds, Sept. 16th increasing to heavy gale veering to NW, and W.N.W., from this point blowing a harisane veering to W.SW. and SW odorating Sept. 11th, 4 1.TA.
