With reference to the letters from this Office of the 1st of April 1813. and 2nd of March 1844.. inclosing Copies of instructions to Mr Davis respecting jurisdiction over Chinese in Hong Kong, I am directed by Aberdeen to transmit to you, for the information of Lord Stanley, Copies of these despatches and of their inclosures.
I have received from James Stephen Gee, Esq., their inclosures to Mr. Davis.
