under instructions from His Excellency the Governor of Hongkong
for the investigation of a charge of Murder, brought against Salvador Loverase, seaman of
the British
brig "Harlequin", the property of
Messrs. Jardine Matheson & Co., merchants of China.
The Chief and Marine Magistrates
having taken their seats, the prisoner Salvador Loverase is brought to
Court.
