For the said Henry Pottinger, of free and lawful men of Hongkong aforesaid, by whom the truth of the matter may be better known, and who are not of kin to the said Salvador Laccase, to recognize, upon their oath, whether the said Salvador Laccase be guilty of the felony and murder in the manner aforesaid above specified, or not guilty.
because, the said Richard Burgess who prosecutes for the said Lady the Queen in this behalf, as the said Salvador Laccase, have put themselves upon the country. And the jury of lawful men for this purpose impanelled and returned, to wit, George Dronet, Joseph Lawter, Francis Dickens, John North, James Friller, Charles Trashwist, Robert Aephenson, James Beamescour famil Trac hunnay, Charles Francis Smith, James Bowen Cain, and Mixook Mac Liven, being called come; who, being elected, tried, and sworn, speak the truth of and concerning the premises, upon their oath say, that the said Salvador Laccase is guilty of the felony and murder aforesaid, whereof he stands charged in the form aforesaid, at by the Indictment
