On the 18th inst, about 9 o'clock a.m., the City Magistrata examined the olie-woman'a bus baud. He was brought out beavily inanacled and was asked when he came to Shanghai and whether he assisted in committing the murder, boing wurned that if he wished to escape torture he had better confess everything.
