I am directed by The Earl of Aberdeen to transmit to you herewith for the information
of Lord Stanley, printed copies of the Supplementary Treaty
between Great Britain and China, signed at Homan Chae, on the 8th of October 1843, and
of other documents thereunto annexed, which, with the Originals duly signed at Nanking
on the 27th of August 1842, of which Copies also inclosed, are considered to form Instrument.
