Despatch Nr. 74, of 1844.
Inclosure No 2 in
8875 Financial, execution of Pirates. Keying, concerning
17th Feb.
From Imperial Commissioner
My Lord,
MAY 7 12345
310 Victoria, Hong Kong 20
26th December, 1844.
With reference to my Despatch of 25 November, I have the honor to report further upon works undertaken for the health or improvement of the Colony, for other public purposes.
On the 19th ultimo, the Executive Council heard a report from the Acting Surveyor General on the subject of sufficient boat house and accommodation for crews at the Harbour Master's Wharf. As it appeared to the Council that the amount recommended for this purpose, Dollars 4,000 was too great an outlay, it was resolved that no more than $2,000 should be expended.
The Right Honorable,
Lord Stanley, M.P.
