objections taken by the then Chants to the original Ordinance of the news entertained of which one of these objections - and of the various modifications which had been in consequence introduced. Your Ith of the 4 Dec affords, as I need scarcely point out to you, information none of these and in the absence of it I am unable to form any opinion as to the Ordinance. I must therefore request you to supply this deficiency at your early convenience, & in the meantime the Ordinance will be suspended.

I must also point out for your future guidance, with reference to your statement that with the advice of Govt you had suspended the promulgation of 54th Ordinance for the Registry of Wills, that when once H.E.'s decision & approval of the Ordinance has been promulgated it is not in the power of the Govt to suspend its operation in any other way than by the enactment of a separate law for that purpose.
