News Military.

My Lord,

of Metoria, Hongherz,

RECORD

5260 August, 1844

2

With reference to the subject of Your Lordship's Despatch No 1, Military, 15th March, I have the honor to state that it has not been found possible to remove the Naval Stores and Coal Depôt from their position in the centre Victoria Bay, (called Middle Stores) on account of the extreme inconvenience attending such removal except to a permanent Naval Station.

The objections to the Bay westward of the ly moon passage, are considerable, and I believe they have been dwelt upon by Rear Admiral

The Right Honorable,

Lord Stanley, M.P.

Ye,

Je,

Sir
